The COST Action CA15140 'Improving Applicability of Nature-Inspired Optimisation by Joining Theory and Practice (ImAppNIO)' is organising a training school on the theme of the COST Action: bridging the gap between theory and practice and making nature-inspired search and optimisation heuristics (like for example evolutionary algorithms) more applicable. Participation is free but the number of participants is limited.

16:00-17:30 Afternoon Session Part 2

Application deadline is the 1st of September 2017.

We have limited funding available for trainees from participating COST countries (see COST pages for a complete list of all 30 countries). It is expected to be sufficient to pay for accommodation, subsistence and a significant contribution towards the cost of travel. Funding can only be provided for trainees who participate at all days of the training school.

We ask potential trainees to express their interest in participation by writing an email to the COST Action's chair, Thomas Jansen (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).We aim at making the application process as lightweight as possible. Your email should include your name, current affiliation, current status (in particular with respect to your PhD), and a list of relevant publications (if any). Add a very brief motivation why you want to attend and declare if your participation is dependent on receiving financial support from the COST Action.
