Working Group 4: Software

 LederCarlos M. Fonseca
 Vice LeaderDomagoj Jakobović

Overview

Working Group 4 is tasked with support for software development in the field of nature-inspired search and optimisation heuristics. Instead of developing yet another software framework for nature-inspired search and optimisation heuristics it concentrates on the development of useful rules for the development of software and the adaptation of nature-inspired search and optimisation heuristics that are based on and guided by theoretical insights in their functioning. It provides and maintains those parts of the COST Action's Internet website that directly relate to this task, namely a repository of case studies and good practice examples, pieces of example software, important hints and rules structured along the lines of problem properties. It will contribute significantly to the summer school and the joint workshop with industry partners.
